Television actor and star of the groundbreaking Youtube hit lonelygirl15 joins the cast of Rigamortis: A Zombie Love Story, a short comedic musical being shot in early October.With an upcoming guest appearance on NBC’s The Office as well as his stint as Spencer Gilman on the revolutionary Youtube series lonelygirl15, Maxwell Glick brings significant star-power to this short film by Chicago-based filmmakers. "When I heard the words zombie and musical in the same sentence, it immediately peaked my interest. After reading the script and listening to the music, I got even more excited! I cannot wait to get out to the midwest to make some zombie movie magic!" says Glick.
Film and television actor Boston Stergis and Broadway alum Lisa Musser round out the cast of this zombie musical / comedy that observes the aftermath of a zombie outbreak from the perspective of the last two remaining zombies as they sing and dance their way to freedom from an overly determined zombie hunter.
Rigamortis was developed with the hope of utilizing the growing popularity of digital distribution and its initial release will be digitally through online retailers such as iTunes and Amazon.com.
Rigamortis is produced by Jenny Stolte whose production company Collateral Damage Productions has produced several award winning features and shorts, and was written by Dave Dewes, who is co-directing the film with Los Angeles director Ted Campbell. The lyrics and music are written by composer / comedian Greg Szydlowski who runs the comedy website PrettySpecialRecords.com and whose work has appeared in film and theater.
